The Lockdown Spark
封城中的心动
The pandemic locked the world down, but it opened a door for us. Living as neighbors during the MCO, our friendship grew over shared dinners at the Christian house. A simple text about a haircut eventually sparked an all-night conversation that changed everything. By Valentine's Day 2021, right at the condo where our story began, we officially became a couple.
疫情虽然让世界停摆，却拉近了我们的距离。MCO 期间，身为同个公寓的邻居，我们从几次简单的同工聚餐开始熟络。后来，一条关于剪短发的讯息，引发了彻夜的长谈，让我们的感情迅速升温。2021 年的情人节，就在我们故事开始的公寓楼下，我们正式确立了关系。

The hardest year. Lucinda was a working adult needing rest; I was a student active in ministry late into the night. We fought and struggled to find a rhythm, but we learned that love isn't just about sharing hobbies—it's about respecting each other's season of life.
这是我们最艰难的一年。她是需要休息的职场人，我是忙于教会事工的学生。我们也曾争吵，也曾感到疲惫，但我们在磨合中学会了：爱不只是陪伴，更是尊重彼此当下的生活节奏。

Distance & Roots
异地与扎根
A season of endurance. Lucinda was relocated to Ipoh while I began my career at KL. Despite the physical distance, we planted spiritual roots by joining Pantai Baptist Church in Oct 2023—a perfect middle ground for our weekends together. For a year, we drove back and forth, until she finally moved back to KL in Sept 2024. We were finally home.
这是考验也是恩典。Lucinda 被调往怡保，而我也开始了在 KL 的职场生涯。尽管分隔两地，我们仍决定在吉隆坡扎根，于 2023 年 10 月加入了 Pantai Baptist Church——这也成为了我们周末相聚的属灵中心。2024 年 9 月，她终于调回吉隆坡，结束了奔波的日子，我们终于不再分离。

On the eve of her birthday, under the open sky of her rooftop, I asked her to be my wife. She said yes.
